Description

My entry for an important contest outside DA.

Before the description, I got this done thanks to three actual places where I have been: The Ekatherina's Palace (Catherine's Palace-Екатерининский дворец;) the artifficial fall of the Peter's Court Palace (Петерго́ф дворец;), these two in Leningrad, and the Palace of La Granja, in San Idelfonso. I wanted to add more trees, but I supposed it would break the background's harmony...

This is the Rain Palace (Yu Guorn), also called the "Winged Palace" (due to the great amount of sculptural wings), where Angelo lives some time during Spring. It was begun by order of the Joshua's grandfather, but due to the economic and politic crisis it was left unfinished until Joshua decided to retake it. Since his favourite architect was a bear, the palace had a great ursstsarian influence. Angelo completed it removing some of it's ursstsarian influences and adding some human ones, as a symbol of modernization.

The palace is famous for it's location near a lake, a deep forest and the mountains, and has been considered even by humans as one of the most beautiful places in Alma.

The back yard has a loot of golden statues, representing the Artistic Discipline (left), the Science (right) and Xizfeng, the founder of the Empire of Lichty from the Arrow Bloodline.

Hope you like this one. It took me two weeks to do!!! XD

I really like the background! There is a lot of meaty details there, and the perspective works nicely in drawing the viewer's eye back into them. (For instance, I'm immediately drawn to the palace in the background.) I like the statues in the foreground and midground, too, as they're nifty set pieces.
My only specific critique is the figure in the foreground seems displaced. I'm not sure if it's the slight glow or the fact that the body might not quite match up the the perspective of the foreground. </nitpick>

The amount of work you put into this really shows. Nice work! :meow:
